The Chester County Rally

Rain or Shine.

$125 per car (includes driver and navigator)  and includes a wonderful lunch at Rally finish line.

One of the basic rules is to ensure folks enjoy themselves with no cars left behind. The event started with Christian Hueber in his classic Jag scouting the course. As it evolved we were attracting more cars from the Concours and other classics with either no odometer, or one in kilometers. In order to keep it a friendly event we created two classes; Classic for the older cars and Sports for the newer. We also learned along the way that the majority of entrants were inclined to like a pleasant drive thru the country, as such we replaced the traditional TSD style.  The event now consists of a series of questions along with stops at various sponsors to collect a sealed envelope with a playing card. The cards are used for a poker hand to break ties.

Trophies and prizes are awarded to both the driver and navigator of the winning cars in each class. There are also sub-classes for marques that have at least 5 vehicles entered. Other awards include The Most Intriguing (or, What The Hell Was I Thinking?), awarded to the most interesting vehicle, which could be a 1912 Normal, or a topless car driven even if it rains. Great prizes and trophies for the winners will be awarded.  (note: in order to spread the wealth, a car can only win one jackpot)

This charity rally runs throughout much of Philadelphia, passing many of the City of Brotherly Love’s most famous landmarks.

DRIVER’S MEETING: 7:30AM
MEETING PLACE: IN FRONT OF the Philadelphia Art Museum, in the EAKINS OVAL parking lot. (MAP)
LUNCH INFO: Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum | Approximate arrival time: 12:30PM

The rally will concludes with lunch provided by MINI of the Main Line at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum. A docent tour of the Museum will be held for newcomers after lunch.

We will be raising money for charity with our “Change 4 Change” challenge. Empty out all that spare change that collects at home, and in your cup holders and put it to good use. Proceeds will be donated to the Philadelphia Chapter of Meals on Wheels.

A raffle and a 50/50 drawing will be held after lunch with proceeds being donated to the Philadelphia Chapter of Meals on Wheels. Last year the prizes were amazing and a huge success. You must be present to win.

Please note:

• You MUST be present AT THE DRAWINGS to win. If you cannot be present, your non-refundable ticket purchase contribution will support the Meals on Wheels charity.
• The raffle prize, if an accessory or mod, MUST fit your MINI. If you win and the accessory or mod is determined not to fit your MINI, the award is forfeited and we will draw again. Items will be clearly marked.
• The raffle prize, if a donated installed vendor modification, MUST be claimed within 3 months of winning. If not claimed within 3 months, you surrender the prize and it’s value.

• Your PhillyMINI member badge (or $35 to become a member! Memberships will be available for purchase prior to the rally start)
• $ to buy clings/buttons (quantities limited)
• $ to buy Raffle tickets for sweet MINI flair ($1 per ticket or $10 for an arm’s length!)
• $5 to buy a 50/50 ticket and support Meals on Wheels (you could win half the amount of CASH collected!)
• $5 (PhillyMINI Members) for ½ off admission to the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum (Non-members pay $15 – Museum admission $10 & Rally fee $5)
